General
Solaris 57, built in 1991 by SE.RI.GI SpA in Italy, designed by Doug Peterson, LOA 17.20m (56'4), beam 4.70m (15'4), draft 2.90m (9'5), Airex sandwich GRP hull, teak laid decks, displacement 22 tons, blue hull, 750 litres (165 Imp gallons) fuel capacity in stainless steel tanks, 1,100 litres (242 Imp gallons) water capacity in stainless steel tanks, 100 litres (22 Imp gallons) holding tank capacity.
Accommodation
Accommodation for six persons in three double cabins plus single crew cabins, four wc/showerrooms. Owner's double bedded cabin aft, ensuite bathroom with separate shower. Two upper and lower bedded guest cabins forward each with ensuite wc/showerroom. Single crew cabin to portside, crew wc. Large saloon, U-shaped seating with fold-out table and to seats to starboard, Dark blue leather upholstery. Chart table to port.
Galley to starboard in the passage to owner's cabin. Ttwo Veco inox fridges (2005) with compressors (2009), one Veco inox deep freezer (2005) with compressor (2009), gas stove and oven.
Veco air conditioining/heating in all cabins, 90 litres (19.8 Imp gallons) per hour watermaker (new 2008), three vacuum toilets, one manual toilet.
Machinery
Volvo Penta D4 180 hp diesel, 80 engine hours (1.10), Maxprop 3-bladed folding propeller, two manual bilge pumps, Onan 6.5 kw generator.

Brookes & Gatehouse log/speed/echosounder, Brookes & Gatehouse autopilot at helm with remote, Raymarine VHF DSC, Furuno 36 nm 8 tone radar, Lorenz World Map LCD plotter (2002) with C-Map.

24v 1,500w electric windlass, manaul teak gangway, swim ladder, aft seating on pushpit, two big lockers on aft deck, large sail locker forward with deck access.
Rigging
Cutter rigged sloop, aluminium mast with 3 spreaders, Harken hydraulic genoa furler, Navtec 4-way hydraulic backstay/vang/baby stay/flattener.
13 Harken winches: 6 on foredeck (one of which is electric), 2x 66 2-speed self-tailing primaries, 2x 56 2-speed secondaries, 2x 46 2-speed self-tailing, 1x 48 electric mainsheet winch.
Sails: Aramidic mainsail with lazy jacks (2003), Aramidic hydraulic furling genoa (2007), 0.75 spinnaker, gennaker, yankee, Dacron hook-on staysail (2006).
Particulars
Built for an Italian lawyer who designed the custom interior layout. In 1998 she was sold to a Swiss lady who used her very little. In 2002 she was sold to the present owner, who after a successful season sailing in Greece carried out the first refit.
