Mediterranean 88, built in 1988 by US Yacht Building Corporation in Taiwan, designed by Ted Hood, the hull was built to American Bureau of Ships Commercial Standards, has U.S. Manufactured Coast Guard Hull Identification Number, and is MCA Certified. Refits 2002 and 2004. LOA 26.80m (87'11"), beam 6.10m (20'), draft 2.00m (6'6") centreboard up/5.89m (19'3) centreboard down. The hull is reinforced fibreglass Airex double core with solid glass laminate under the ballast, engine beds and rudder post bow waterline areas. Refit in 2001 including resealing the entire hull with Epoxy, and repainting hull, superstructure, mast and boom in Awlgrip. All bulkheads, decks, engine stringers and mast step are bonded together. Water tight collision bulkhead forward and for added safety, a damage control bulkhead between engineroom and pump room. Teak laid decks. Displacement 88.17 tons. Tank capacities: port 1,300 litres (286 Imp gallons), starboard 1,275 litres (281 Imp gallons), centre tank 4,425 litres (975 Imp gallons). Holding tank capacities: grey forward 100 litres (22 Imp gallons), grey aft 150 litres (33 Imp gallons), black forward 100 litres (22 Imp gallons), black aft 150 litres (33 Imp gallons).

BLUE TITAN has a 100 ton heavy displacement fibreglass hull for added stability, safety and comfort that features in the bow area ice-breaker strength. Yet her 2 metre draft (boards raised) allows her to enter the shallowest passages and anchor in the quietest harbours. She can take her owner anywhere in the world at a cruising speed up to 12 knots and is easily handled by a crew of two.

MCA certified with a proud charter recordr in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Registered as a commercial vessel in the Cayman Islands and owned as sole asset by a Cayman Islands Company.
