Steel classic sailing yacht Van de Stadt "Tulla III", hull built in 1962/1963 by Van Dam in Oudewetering - Holland, interior built by E.G. van de Stadt in Zaandam - Holland as a one-off for the admiralscupteam. Design E.G. van de Stadt, dim.: Loa 12,51 m (Lwl 9,20 m) x 3,39 m x 1,65 m, hull: steel, deck: teak on plywood (replaced in 2003), superstructure: mahogany, complete paintjob 2007 + 2008, glass windows in cupper/bronze framing, S-shaped dark green hull, fin keel, displacement: approx. 9,54 tonnes, ballast: 3,7 tonnes (lead), fuel tank: 130 litres (steel), fresh water tanks: 1x 200 + 1x 150 litres (steel), sump tank: 45 litres (steel), tiller steering.
When modern lines are out of your thoughts and you wish a yacht to be admired for her true classic lines, the one-off Tulla III should be your choice. The excellent fast sailing capacities are also characterstic for this yacht, designed for the admiralscup in 1965. After an extensive refit in 2007/08 she's as new. Engine of 2001. The famous Ricus van de Stadt designed "Tulla III" as a one-off cruiser/racer for the successful yachtsman Simon de Wit. She was in the Dutch admiralscupteam of 1965 and won many races in her days. Lots of history, articles and beautiful drawings of Robbert Das.
She's still very fast and well known for her sea keeping capabilities.
Design plans and investment list available. Current owner invested approx. € 50,000,- form April till now. Hull was sandblasted in 1997, all essentials are replaced or refitted in 2001,2003 and 2007/2008. Survey report of 2006 available.
"Tulla III" is a piece of history in an excellent condition, both technically and cosmetic.
