GRP sailingyacht J 44, built in 1992 by Tillotson Pearson Inc. USA, dim.: 13,67 (lwl 11,79) x 4,15 x 2,46 mtr, design by Rod Johnstone, built to Lloyds and ABS specifications (high strength Vinylester resin), headway above waterline: 21,00 mtr, grp hull, deck and superstructure, portholes in aluminium frames, Lewmar deckhatches (some with flyscreens/blinds), roundbilged hull, fin keel (new upgraded keel installed 2010), balanced spade rudder, displacement: 10,8 tonnes, ballast:4 tonnes (lead), fueltank: 150 ltrs (alloy), freshwatertank: 300 ltrs (molded polythelene), mechanical wheelsteering with destroyer type leather covered steeringwheel.
The J-44 was designed as a dual-purpose racer cruiser which were popular then and still are today. Comfortable contemporary interior with a good 3 cabin layout with a competative hull design. Easy to handle safe and passage maker. The J-44 has become the benchmark for many yards in the same segment.
Classic teak interior, 3 cabins and saloon, large twin berth forward cabin, two double guestcabins aft, 1 x uw toilet, washbasin and shower (with drainpump), dinette in salon (can be converted into double berth), sleeps 9 persons, headroom: 1,95 mtr, 2 x Webasto ducted hot air heating.
Galley with electric waterpressuresystem and double stainless steel sinks, boiler hot water system (engine/220v), Force 10 three burner gasstove with oven, Vetus gasdetector, Seafrost toploading fridge with holdingplate (on 220v or main engine driven compressor).
The interior has been recently partially rebuilt and refurbished (new varnish, Alcantara upholstery, etc). The layout in the salon has been fitted with a very practical dinette and extra cupboardspace.

"Hawkeye" has served her owners well, now in second ownership and has proven herself on many occasions. She underwent an extensive and expensive refit and is considered to be in very nice condition.
