New addition for charter

De Valk has announced an impressive new addition to its growing fleet of central agency charter yachts. The 70' ketch Kim has a proven track record as a comfortable family cruiser with a performance to match. After a comprehensive nine-month rebuild at Holland Jachtbouw, this classic pilothouse yacht is in fabulous condition inside and out. The refit was carried out to the highest MCA safety standards.

Originally launched in 1991, Kim was the first ketch-rigged Andre Hoek design to combine classic looks with an ultra-modern underwater arrangement. She sleeps six guests in three separate cabins in a style that suits the yacht’s retro classic exterior. With her low profile, long overhangs and beautiful sheer line, Kim is an excitingly pretty yacht. Her large sail area makes her quick in the lightest airs, while the relatively heavy displacement ensures comfort in all weather conditions.

“This retro design is a great addition to our range of exclusive charter yachts,” says Lucy Ritchie from De Valk Charter. “We already had a fine selection of large motoryachts for charter, and business has been brisk. Boats such as Kim and the classic Iduna show that De Valk also offers seriously stylish charter packages to lovers of sailing yachts.”
