Bavaria 55 cruiser sold!

It's a small world...

Trust is a very important part of our business. In mid-2017, a client resident in Hong Kong purchased a Hans Christian sailing yacht from De Valk Monnickendam without seeing it in person. Broker Harald Padberg arranged a thorough inspection by an independent surveyor and, once the deal was concluded, introduced the buyer to one of his freight-forwarding contacts. Harald also assisted with arranging the transport to Hong Kong.

After the yacht arrived safely at its destination, the new owner contacted Harald to say how pleased he was with both the boat and the transaction. As a result, he had decided to also sell his Bavaria 55 Cruiser via De Valk as well.

Harald found a buyer for the Bavaria 55 towards the end of 2018: a Dane residing in Singapore. He advised the interested client to visit the yacht in Hong Kong to see whether it was a perfect match. And it was! After a survey, the paperwork was completed and the deal closed. The enthusiastic new owner and crew recently sailed the Bavaria 55 from Hong Kong to her new home in Singapore.

The fact that this Bavaria 55 was sold within a year despite being moored in Hong Kong shows how an extensive network can make all the difference in the world of yacht brokerage. All of this was achieved by intensive communication via telephone and internet.
