Evanna has been sold
De Valk has announced the sale of the 36.30-metre twin-screw motoryacht Evanna. This is the second time that De Valk has been responsible for finding a new owner for this elegant yacht within the past year, demonstrating the value of the company’s global network and close contacts with clients.
“Evanna was initially sold in the spring of 2008 to an experienced French owner,” explains Robert Drontmann, the broker responsible for the transactions at De Valk International. “He initially took the yacht to Saint Malo and had plans for a comprehensive conversion. The economic downturn brought an end to this ambition and our client asked us to find a new owner as soon as possible.”
Drontmann was delighted to introduce Evanna to a Belgian client who had never owned a large yacht before. “This shows how important it is to be regularly in touch with (potential) clients and know their personal preferences. We pride ourselves on personal relationships at De Valk, and the double sale of Evanna is a testament to this.”
Once the sale was complete, De Valk organised the transportation of the yacht to Antwerp and facilitated all the relevant paperwork. “Evanna’s new owner can now make the most of her cruise-ship facilities,” adds Drontmann. “With eight ensuite cabins, she offers superb value for money and demonstrates that current market conditions need not be a barrier to sales for those with realistic expectations and good quality yachts.”
