Guardian MK II for sale

De Valk Sneek has been appointed central agent for the sale of the Guardian 50 Mk II, due for completion and launch in Holland beginning this year. This premium 14.95-metre motoryacht benefits from a triumvirate of Dutch expertise, being built by BluePrint Marine, designed by Van Oossanen & Associates and styled by Rene van der Velden. It follows on from the remarkable success of the Guardian 50 MK 1, which was sold by De Valk Sneek in 2007.

The major new feature on the second Guardian is the significantly larger flybridge, designed to optimise the sailing experience of the owners. Otherwise, the Mk II will contain all the attributes that have made the Guardian name synonymous with extended cruising in unprecedented comfort and safety.

The yacht is constructed using vacuum-bagged epoxy composite technology. It is Lloyds certified to the regulations for special service craft, has CE category A status (the European standard for seagoing vessels) and surpasses all required ISO norms. The Guardain Mk II yacht is technically advanced yet exceptionally easy to operate thanks to her advanced PLC electrical system and touch screen. All onboard equipment comes from top manufacturers.

With its timeless style and no-nonsense profile, the Guardian Mk II is designed for long-distance cruising. It has 50 percent more tank storage for fuel and water than comparable yachts of this size. Low fuel consumption is assured thanks to the ultra-efficient propulsion system. All parts of the hull and appendages such as the skeg and bowthruster are designed to provide the lowest resistance, and the yacht will be capable of speeds of up to 30 knots.

De Valk Sneek will show the Guardian 50 Mk II at Boot Holland (Friezenhal, stand number 5080) from 6 to 11 February 2009.
