Guido de Groot 1800 for sale

De Valk Loosdrecht has become central agent for the sale of the exceptional round-bilged motoryacht Seabird. Benefitting from the very highest standards of Dutch design and craftsmanship, the yacht is beautifully finished throughout and has been meticulously maintained by her owner since Seabird was launched in 2002.

“There are very few 18-metre motoryachts of this class and quality available on the market for less than a million euros,” says Mark Schouten, the broker responsible for the transaction at De Valk. “The owner has spared no expense on keeping Seabird in tip-top condition, including having all maintenance carried out by the leading Dutch shipyard De Gier. With the hull having just been given an all-new Awlgrip paint system, this motoryacht is virtually as good as new.”

Guido de Groot’s superb design for Seabird has given her lovely lines combined with a spacious closed wheelhouse that also serves as a second saloon. A smart open-plan layout makes the entire interior feel much larger than her size would suggest. It also makes onboard communication very easy, one of many reasons why Seabird can be sailed short-handed. Another is the hydraulic bow and sternthrusters, part of an impressive equipment roster that also includes two Cummins 220 hp diesels that provide a speed of ten knots. Comfort at sea is assured by extra stabilisers while the Mastervolt power system with 12 KVA generator is the best that money can buy.

Seabird‘s interior features some lovely cherry and teak panelling, with Kabola heating and full air conditioning ensuring a climate to match The owner’s suite is very spacious, and there is also a good-sized guest cabin plus a smaller one. In addition, a wealth of storage is found both in the aft ship (with an electric/hydraulic door) and foreship. It all adds up to a yacht that exudes the most careful consideration down to the smallest details.
