De Valk sells Majola

De Valk Amsterdam has announced the sale of the Altena Explorer 61 Majola – twice. Originally built in 2008 by quality shipyard Altena in the Netherlands for a highly experienced client, this sturdy motor trawler is ideal for long-distance cruising.

Majola features a robust steel hull and aluminium superstructure with teak decks. She is fully equipped for bluewater cruising and includes two engines, bow & sternthrusters, air conditioning, a generator, and all the electronics and entertainment required for long comfortable voyages.

This solid yet elegant boat was initially put up for sale as her owner wished to upgrade to a larger boat. Soon after being placed on the market, De Valk found a buyer for Majola in Russia, who unfortunately reneged on the contract.

The yacht’s fine qualities meant that Majola was soon snatched up again, however, as De Valk Amsterdam broker Bruno van der Sloot teamed up with a fellow professional broker in Russia. The new owner, who is also Russian, was delighted to proceed and Majola is currently on her way to her new berth on the French Mediterranean coast.
