Privateer Trawler 52 sold
De Valk Sneek has sold the 15.50-metre steel Privateer Trawler 52 to a client from Bulgaria. The new owner is now having her upgraded – with the galley and service improved – at the Privateer Yachts yard in the Netherlands before she sets sail to Greece and onwards to explore the Mediterranean.
Close cooperation with Privateer Yachts allowed De Valk to add this great boat to its listings in the spring. Sales broker Arne Doodeman travelled to England to inspect the Privateer thoroughly to kick start the sale process. She was then brought to the covered sales marina of De Valk Sneek to improve the chances of finding a buyer, and duly sold within six months
The Privateer Trawler 52 was built to the highest standards at the Privateer yard in 2008. She has a striking dark blue hull with flared bow, a sturdy steel superstructure and elegant teak and painted decks. Her powerful hull, stabilisers, Vetus Deutz diesels and high fuel capacity make the yacht ideal for long-range cruising on the open water. She is also easy to handle with a small crew thanks to her twin engines and hydraulic bow and sternthrusters. She boasts a second steering position and wheelman chair on the flybridge, an aluminium mast with telescopic boom and full CE-A certification.
The Privateer 52’s spacious interior is finished in teak and comprises teak flooring throughout. The accommodations - a large owner’s suite amidships and two guest cabins forward - come with all the attendant facilities. The pilothouse comprises a steering position, helm chair and settee, while the saloon and galley are equally impressive.
