For sale: Grand Banks 53 RP

De Valk’s Palma office has been appointed central agent for the sale of the first Grand Banks 53 RP ever built. This is also the first of the fifteen Grand Banks 53s built to date to be offered for sale to a new owner in Europe. She represents a unique opportunity to acquire a flawless example of the latest line in the Grand Banks Aleutian family.

Like all Aleutians, the boat incorporates a raised pilothouse design with Portuguese bridge and a specious master stateroom amidships. The latter also has its own dedicated staircase from the saloon, a large ensuite bathroom, separate access to the study and ample storage lockers. The two guest cabins, one double and one twin, are located forward. The roomy saloon contains two seating areas and a high-tech entertainment system, while the elevated dinette next to the helm affords wonderful views while en route.

A spacious forward deck with settee and protected companionways all around give the yacht a striking nautical flair. The interior is finished in a similarly grand style throughout, with satin-varnished Burmese teak typical of Grand Banks. Two 710 hp Cummins engines and a planning hull allow for impressive speeds when necessary.

This yacht was used as an exhibition model during Boot Düsseldorf and the Genoa Boat Show. Built in 2010, she incorporates many of the wishes and ideas of the owner, a veteran Grand Banks sailor who used his rich experience to enhance the details and finishing. Grand Banks is well known for its build quality and the contemporary classic appearance of its designs, which retain a high resale value through the years.

The boat has been carefully maintained and upgraded by the renowned Walsted yard in Denmark, and was recently shipped to the Mediterranea and is now available for viewing via De Valk’s office in Palma. For more information contact Paul Galle, email pgalle@devalk.nl or phonenumber +34 971 40 29 11.
