Ron Holland was personally very pleased with the outcome of his excellent design, the Omega 46. GRP sailingyacht, Ron Holland Omega 46, built in 2003 by Techno / M-Yachts AB, Lysekil, Sweden, dim.: 14.20 (lwl 11.10) x 3.60 x 2.05 m, headway approx. 21 m, design by Ron Holland, CE-classification A, GRP sandwich hull, Det Norske Veritas Classification, perspex windows in stainless steel framing, white round-billed hull, fin keel, balanced spade rudder with carbon fibre rudderstock, teakdecks, displacement approx. 11 tonnes, ballast; 4 tonnes (cast iron), fuel tank: 210 ltrs (alum.), freshwatertank: 370 ltrs (in two alum. tanks), sumptank: 90 ltr, Whitlock Cobra mechanical wheelsteering, cockpit pedestal with sailinstruments console, emergency tiller.
Classic Scandinavian styled hand crafted mahogany interior, ownerscabin forward with double berth and guestcabin with double berth aft, saloon with U-shaped dinette with opposite settee, total 4(+2) berths, headroom: 1,95 mtrs, 1 x manual u.w.toilet and seperate shower, Eberspacher ducted hot air diesel heating, galley with double s.s. sinks and large worktops, electric waterpressure system with double s.s. sinks, boiler hot water system (220v/engine), Eno two-burner gas stove with oven, " Alden " gas leak detector, Isotherm 12v fridge, Isotherm 12v deep-freeze.
Yanmar 4JH3B 56 hp (41kW) diesel, installed in 2003, approx. 200 runninghours, indirect coolingsystem, mechanical gearbox, stainless steel propeller shaft, 3-bladed folding propeller, cruisingspeed approx. 7 knots, consumption approx. 4 ltr/hr, 1 x manual / 1 x electric bilgepump, 12DC/220vAC electrical circuits, 1 x 90amp startbattery / 3 x 115amp service batteries, shorepower connection with earthleak switch and cable, Mastervolt 12v/25amps. automatic batterycharger, Sidepower SP75 T electric bowthruster.
Silva 125 pedestal compass, Raymarine ST60 echosounder, log and windset, Raymarine 215E VHF with Atis, Raymarine SL 72 Pathfinder (2kW-2D) radar combined chartplotter, Raymarine ST6001+ autopilot, Raymarine RN-300 GPS, Raymarine navigation instruments are all interfaced. Clarion radio/cd-player.
Sprayhood, sunawing, security equipment like 4-persons Plastimo liferaft, lifebouy, lifelines, etc., Lewmar electric windlass, Plough anchor with chain and 40 m line, boarding ladder, Niczo ventilation (in the coachroof hatch), 6 x fenders, 6 x warps, radar-reflector, cockpitcushions, charts, 3 x fire extinguishers, etc. She has ample stowage-space below decks and large lazarettes and sail-locker.
