GRP sailingyacht Contest 40S "De Tukker", built in 1993 by Conyplex B.V. Netherlands, dim.: 12.30 x 3.85 x 1.95 m, designed by Dick Zaal, built to Lloyds specifications, Lloyds hull construction Certificate, GRP hull, deck and superstructure, teakdecks, hardened glass windows, round-billed hull, finkeel, displacement approx 11 tonnes, ballast approx 4.8 tonnes, fueltank approx 350 ltrs (s.s.), freshwatertank approx 2 x 250 ltrs (stainless steel), Whitlock mechanical wheel steering, emergency tiller.
Classic teak interior with green leather upholstery, guestcabin with double berth forward, ownerscabin with double centreline berth aft and 2 possible sleeps in the saloon makes a total of 6 berths, 2 x u.w.manual toilets and showers, headroom approx 1.90/1,95 m, diesel heating, galley with electric and manual waterpressure system, hot water boyler on 220 Volt + motor, 12 Volt refrigerator, 3-burner gasstove with oven and grill, gasdetector.
Yanmar 63 hp (46 kW) diesel engine, installed in 1993, approx 1470 enginehours, indirect cooling, mechanical gearbox, cruisingspeed approx 7 knots, consumption approx 4 ltr/hr, stainless steel propellershaft, 3-bladed Max propeller, 1 x manual and 1 x electric bilgepump, 12/220 Volt electrical system, 4 x 120 Ah. batteries (2002), shore power with earth switch, Victron 50 Amp automatic batterycharger, 250 Watt invertor.
Compass, VDO dept, log and windset, Shipmate VHF with Atis, Furuno radar range 16 km, Autohelm 7000 autopilot with remote control, Furuno GPS, Furuno Navtex receiver, radio/cd/casette player, flatscreen tv and video.
Sprayhood, wintercover, 6 persons life raft (last checked 2001), life buoy, CQR 50 m anchorwinch, bathing ladder, deckwash installation.
Sloop-rigged, Seldén aluminium double spreader mast, s.s. standing rigging, Harken headsailfurling, sails: full-battened mainsail 35m2, furling genoa I 60m2 (2000), halfwinder 110m2, stormjib, sailcover, reefing system, mechanical backstayadjuster, mechanical boomvang, Harken sheetwinches, halyarwinches, spinakerwinch, aluminium spi boom at the mast.
