"Quasi Niente", built as Frisian 46, a design from the famous Dick Koopmans sr. was built in steel at Folmer Jachtbouw in Rijs and finished by Sybren Sytsma in Warns. "Quasi Niente offers a sturdy, comfortable yet cosy interior and is due to her complement of full furling sails easy to handle by a small crew. Due to her heavy construction she is very suitable for long distance voyages. She can now be inspected in Hindeloopen on the hard.

Steel sailing yacht Frisian 46, "Quasi Niente", registerred in Austria under No. GZ:FA13A-34.25 D1-02/5, built in 1990 by Folmer at Noord Nederland in Stavoren under the supervision of M. de Boer, interior and systems finished in 1991at Sybren Sytsma Jachtbouw in Warns, delivered end of 1991, designed by Dick Koopmans sr., dim:. 13,64 (lwl 11,29) x 4,02 x 1,85 m, steel hull, steel superstructure and steel deck, TBS on deck and teak in the cockpit, 2 prismas on deck for additional light in the saloon, 4 opening ports in the superstructure for additional light and ventilation in the galley, port aft cabin and aft head, white semi S-shaped hull with dark blue striping and a red newly antifouled underwatership, foam sprayed insulation below deck and behind the carpentrywork till the waterline, semi long keel with supported rudder, displacement 17.000 kg, ballast approx 6.000 kg lead, steel integrated fueltank of 700 ltr., steel integrated watertank of 800 ltr., sump tank for grey and black water integrated of 150 ltr., Whitlock torquetube steering and a whitlock pedestal, emergency tiller.


Classic teak interior with stylefully navy blue upholstry and teak and holly floorboards, 2 manual Babyblake toilets (serviced in late 2002), Taylor 2-burner petroleum stove with oven, hot water via 50 ltr. boiler heated by both engine and 220 Volt, 12 volt 120 liter compressor-driven refrigerator, 12 Volt compressor-driven deep freeze, accomodation for 8 in 3 cabins plus saloon, all cabins equipped with opening ports or deckhatches with flyscreens and blinds, 220 and 12 Volt sockets and ampel storage spaces and lockers, foreward cabin is a V-berth double, with an opening panel to the chainlocker front, port foreward is a head with manual Babyblake toilet, washbowl and a shower, starboard is the passageway to the foreship with 2 large lockers and double working door, starboard aft is a cabin with 2 single berths one on top of the other and acces to the engineroom, port aft is the passageway to the ownerscabin with a 2 compartment bathroom containing a manual Babyblake toilet with washbowl and lots of lockers and a seperate shower with large removable accespanels to the heavy insulated engineroom, aft is a double to port with ampel storage below and a vanity table facing aft with mirror, lots of lockers and drawers for cloth, the saloon has a U-sofa to port and a sofa starboard, port in front of the passageway is the well equipped galley with teak worktop and double sink with waterpressure and a seperate dustbin.
