Westwind was designed as a serious blue water cruiser, during construction many teak details both inside and out where applied and together with the canoe stern and blue hull these details give this Robert Perry design her traditional looks. The combination of heavy construction with long keel s-shaped hull give her very comfortable cruising capabillities

GRP sailing yacht "Zephyr", type Westwind 35, dim: 11,60 including bowsprit 10,50 x 3,34 x 1,67, built in 1981, designed by Robert H. Perry, built by Young Sun Yacht Corporation of Taiwan, hand laid up GRP hull, deck and superstructure, canoe stern, dark blue long keel S-shaped hull with teak rubbing stroke, white superstructure, teak deck (needs service), displacement approx 9.500 kg, ballast approx 3.000 kg, internal ballast (approx. 32%), fuel capacity 180 liter, water capacity 2 x 225 liter making 450 liters, Whitlock pedestal steering, emergency tiller.
Classic teak interior with a headroom in the saloon of at least 1,85 m, 1 cabin with a twin V-berth in the forepeak plus 5 in the saloon makes a total of 7 sleeps possible, directly aft of the forepeak to port is the head with manual toilet, a washbowl in a worktop with drawers and a shower, aft of the head to port a U-sofa that can be converted into a double and to starboard a sofa with a backcushion that also doubles as a bunk making two beds one over the other, starboard aft the navigationtable where the seat is also the seaberth under the cockpit and to port a foreward facing galley with double stainless steel sink, a 4-burner stainless steel Force ten gasstove with oven from 1999, hot water via an immersion heater of 30 liter heated by both main engine and 220 Volt heatplug, waterpressure system, 180 liter coolbox.
Yanmar 4JHE diesel, 44 hp, 4 cylinder, hot water system on motor and shore power, 105 Ah. start battery, 2x 105 Ah. making 210 Ah. 12 Volt service batteries, shorepower with cable and earthbreaker, 1 manual bilgepump 2 electric bilgepumps, battery condition meter.

Cutter-rigged, deck stepped aluminiumsilver anodised one spreader mast, 2x Lewmar type 42 selftailing primary sheetwinches, 1x Lewmar type 30 sheetwinch, 1x Lewmar type 30 2-speed halyardwinch, 1x Lewmar type 16 2-speed halyard winch and 1x Lewmar type 7 halyard winch, mainsail (25 m2, Hagoort 1995), jib (15 m2, Hagoort 1995), furling genoa (46 m2 Hagoort 1999), storm jib (5,5 m2 Hagoort 1999), halfwinder ( 70 m2).
