"To the Med by sea and back through the French canals" the design parameters for the Pilot 44. An instant success upon introduction in 1994. The Pilot 44 has in the meantime set the benchmark for many sea-going motoryachts alike. Ample space (stowage/headroom/living) for prelonged stays onboard, range, privacy and easy maintainance come in a well designed package by the hand of designer Willem Nieland.

Steel motoryacht Pilot 44 "Tabasco", built in 1995/96, dim.: 13,70 x 4,00 x 1,20 mtrs, headway: 3 mtrs (mast down), design by Willem Nieland, steel single-chine hull, steel deck with grey anti-slip paint, steel superstructure, Gebo windows in aluminium framing and opening portholes and deckhatches, displacement: approx. 15 tonnes, fueltank: 1700 ltrs (steel), freshwatertank: 1400 ltrs (coated steel), sumptank with drainpump and deckexhaust, Excalto hydraulic wheelsteering in pilothouse and on aft-deck.
Classic beech interior with halogen lighting, 3 cabins (double forward, double with twin bunkberths and two singles aft), sleeps 6 in total, saloon with L-shaped settee and two single armchairs below, L-shaped settee in the pilothouse/decksaloon. 1 x u.w.line electric toilet and seperate shower forward, single manual u.w.toilet with wasbasin aft. Galley with electric waterpressure system, boyler hot water system (50 ltrs 220v/engine), Equator 3 three burner gasstove with oven, Electrolux 12/220v front-loading fridge, Vetus gas-detector, extractor. Ample headroom throughout with 2 mtrs plus and the interior is heated by an Eberspaecher diesel ducted air heating.
Iveco Aifo 120 hp (88kW) diesel, installed in 1995, approx. 200 runninghours, indirect coolingsystem, ZF hydraulic gearbox, propellershaft with four bladed fixed propeller, cruisingspeed approx. 9 knot, consumption approx. 6 ltr/hr, electric bilgepump, 24/220v electrical system, 4 x service batteries / 2 x start-bowthruster batteries (2005) / 1 x generator start battery, Mastervolt 24/220v/2500 watt invertor, Mastervolt 24v/50amp automatic batterycharger, shorepower, Whisper 4000 4kW diesel generator in soundproofing box (approx. 20 runninghours), double fuelfilters for secure operation, electric bowthruster.
