The Orion was designed as a fast cruiser for those who like to race occasionally, but are mainly cruising with the family. Very popular in Japan. They were rarely built in Holland, only this one is fully yard- built by Mulder & Rijke.

Orion 33 Damakinia, built in 1979 (launched in 1981) by Mulder & Rijke B.V. - Holland, design by E.G. van de Stadt & Partners B.V., dim.: 10.10 m (Lwl 8.30 m) x 3.30 m x 1.88 m, blue round bilged hull, GRP hull, superstructure and deck, teak deck, hull 2 component coated in 1997 (De IJssel), under watership International Primocon + International CSC, displacement: approx. 5.4 tonnes, ballast: approx. 2.6 tonnes (lead), fuel capacity: approx. 100 litres (stainless steel), two flexible fresh water tanks (one needs to be replaced) - total 150 litres, balanced spade rudder, tiller steering.
Classic Oregon pine interior, saloon + front cabin + pilot berth, total 3 (+4 berths), headroom cabin: approx. 1.90 m, galley with sink, refrigerator and a two burner gas stove, gas locker, Wallas heating (paraffin tank: approx. 5 litres) - needs to be checked, bathroom with wash bowl and under water toilet.
Volvo Penta MD11C 2 cylinder 23 hp diesel engine, saildrive, two bladed fixed propeller, batteries: 2x 105 amp., fire extinguisher, manual bilge pump.
2x Contest compass, VHF with Atis, GPS, depth sounder, log, autopilot, Windex, stereo with cassette.
Sprayhood (2001), teak in cockpit, CQR anchor + line, two wired s.s. sea railing, hour counter, clock & barometer, boarding ladder stainless steel.
