Formosa 47 Cutter Rigged Ketch, built in 1980 (1996/1997) by Formosa Boat Building Company in Taiwan, LOA 16.50m (54'1), LWL 11.05m (36'2), beam 4.30m (14'1), draft 2.25m (7'4), GRP hull and superstructure, teak decks (1996), round hull, white with blue striping (newly painted 2003), long keel, displacement 14 tons, fuel capacity 795 litres (175 Imp gallons), water capacity 1,500 litres (330 Imp gallons) in four stainless steel tanks (new 1996), hydraulic steering.
Classic teak interior, 1.90m (6'2) headroom throughout, accommodattion for six persons in three double cabins + the possibility of three convertible berths in saloon, two wc/showerrooms with granite counter tops, saloon, galley with granite counter tops, fridge, gas hob/oven, microwave, glass and cutlery storage, all new in 1996.
Volvo Penta TMD 41 150 hp turbo diesel, new 1996, maximum speed under power approx. 11 knots, cruising speed 6.5 knots, shaft and propeller new 1996, Vetus 80 hp bowthruster (1996), electric anchor winch, two electric and one manual bilge pump, Honda 650w portable generator, 12/220v electric system (partly renewed), 130 ah battery charger, shore power cable, 12/220v 2,500w invertor, three 180 ah service batteries, 120 ah engine battery, DCC 4000 battery controller, all new in 1996/1997.
Compass, Autohelm Sea Talk multi instruments, wind instruments, Autohelm 7000 autopilot, VDO GPS/ Plotter, Raytheon radar, Azimut VHF, all new 1996/1997.
Radio/cd player with changer and cockpit speakers, sprayhood, bimini, cockpit cushions, cockpit table, breathable covers for deck and housing, 8-person liferaft, Apex dinghy with Yamaha 15 hp outboard, stainless steel davits, teak/aluminium ganway.
Aluminium masts, stainless steel rigging, standing rigging completely renewed 1996 (except for the mast and mizzen which were carefully checked and renovated), furling genoa, self-tacking jib, genoa and jib covers, in-mast furling main sail, in-mast furling mizzen sail and kickers all new 1996, 125 m2 sail area, Barlow winches.
