Rob Humphreys was commissioned to design a fast, modern hull for good performance, with the stability and comfort for blue water cruising. The Southerly 42RS has a tall fractional rig with swept back double spreaders, combines a self tacking furling jib (for easy sailing), electric furling, large mainsail with single line reefing and two electric genoa winches. The Southerly 42RS features the highly developed Swing Keel which gives the freedom and versatility to sail in almost any waters. She is now lying in a winter storage in Germany and will be in Hindeloopen (NL) beginning of May.
