Cheliacaroca for sale
De Valk Palma has been appointed central agent for the sale of the renowned performance yacht Cheliacaroca. One of the finest examples of the design work of Andre Hoek, this fast and elegant 65-foot gentlemen’s sloop can easily be sailed single-handedly despite her impressive speed and size. Launched in 2002, Cheliacaroca is in superb condition after an extensive refit during this winter.
The fact that Cheliacaroca is named after the first two letters of each of the owner’s children is an illustration of the importance he attaches to his yacht. “When he commissioned the yacht the owner poured all his rich sailing experience into this remarkable cruiser racer,” says Thorsten Giesbert, the broker responsible for the same at De Valk Palma.” He has since maintained Cheliacaroca in an excellent state, ensuring that her beauty and elegance remain undiminished.”
Cheliacaroca was designed specifically for single-handed sailing and to be the fastest boat possible at 65 feet in length. With a displacement of just 18 tonnes, she has a lightweight construction in west epoxy with carbon mast and boom, in combination with a Bergström rig and a carbon rudder. With clean flush decks and modern underwater lines, Cheliacaroca is a well balanced sloop that has won races for yachts in the 80-foot size bracket. The interior woodwork is also in a class of its own with perfectly matching upholstery.
