How do you make a motor-sailor that doesn't look like one and behaves like a real sailing ship ? The answer is the Van de Stadt Norman 40. Her raised decksaloon gives her that light and roomy atmosphere so much required nowadays. She is roomy, comfortable and very much a family cruising yacht. Lots of stowage space and with three seperate cabins very suitable in entertaining friends and family. Easy driven hull, a good performer under any weather conditions.

Steel sailing yacht Van de Stadt Norman 40 "Larrios", built by owner in 1995, commissioned in 1998, design by Van de Stadt & Partners, dim: 12.00 (lwl 9.50) x 3.90 x 1.65m., steel hull, superstructure and deck, multi-chine hull, fin keel, displacement: 10.5 tonnes, ballast: 3 tonnes (lead), fueltank: 1 x 330 ltrs, 1 x 70ltrs daytank, fresh water tank: 2 x 350 ltrs., 1 x 200 ltrs sumptank, automatic/manual bilge pump, Whitlock mechanical wheelsteering, emergency tiller.
Classic oak interior, 3 cabins and saloon, 7 berths, headroom approx. 1.95m., RM manual u.w. toilet, shower, Webasto air Top heating, galley with electric / manual waterpressure system, salt water pump, boiler hot water system (220v + engine), Isotherm 12v fridge, Techimpex three burner gasstove with ove. The interior comprises three spacious cabins, a decksaloon, galley and toilet/shower. The superstructure enables plenty of light to enter the saloon. The saloon provides a good vision and has a comfortable round seat.
Yanmar 4JH2 50hp (37,5Kw) diesel engine, engine installed in 1998, approx. 600 running hours, intercooling system, 4 cylinder, consumption approx. 4 ltrs/hr., cruising speed approx. 6,5 knots, mechanical gearbox, s.s. propellershaft, three bladed propeller, 12v/220v electrical system, 3 batteries.
