This Van de Stadt Design combines good performance, easy handling and the spacious interior of their latest designs with the characteristics of classic sailing yachts (a much more pronounced sheer line and a positive stern). The use of traditional boat building materials together with the latest building techniques by the famous Dutch "Kolibri Yard". Easily handled by a small crew.

Woodcore sailing yacht Van de Stadt 38 Helena "Elsanto", build 1997 - 2000 by Kolibri Jachtbouw in The Netherlands, dim.: 11,62 (lwl 9,50) x 3,65 x 1,10/2,40mtr, design no: 493 of Van de Stadt, dark blue (2006 painted), cold-moulded ply/epoxy hull reinforced with Aramide (Twaron) and laminated, deck and superstructure, teak laid deck, glass windows in aluminium framing, roundbilged hull, s.s. lift keel with lead bulb (driven by electric/hydraulic pump with manual backup), displacement: approx. 7,5 tonnes, ballast: 2 tonnes (lead), fueltank: 220 ltrs, freshwatertank: 220 ltrs, sumptank: 100 ltrs, all tanks in wood/epoxy, two main rudders and third small rudder for better steering-performance under engine, tiller-steering.
