The requirements for the Oceanis Clipper 473 layout are functionality, design and overall, to make life easy. With her twin steering stations allowing perfect ease of movement and optimum visibility for the helmsman. The deck layout is highly functional and the list of standard equipment quite impressive. Below deck, space, light and comfort reign supreme.

GRP sailing yacht Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473 "Storm", built in 2002 by Beneteau - France, dim.: Loa 14,30 m (Lwl 13,35 m) x 4,31 m x 1,70 m, headway: 19,5 m., CE:A.
Hull: solid GRP laminate, inner moulded structure bonded and laminated onto hull.
Deck: balsa sandwich for greater rigidity and for thermal and sound insulation, teak deck.
Round bilged hull, bulb keel. Lewmar hatches and portholes.
Three water tanks, two of which integrated in hull inner moulding - total capacity: approx. 600 litres, electric gauge for water tanks. Fuel capacity: 1x 235 litres (polyethylene tank).
Displacement: 11,0 tonnes, ballast: 3,58 tonnes.
Spade rudder with composite-glass stock, twin steering stations in aft cockpit, two bulkhead mounted steering system (mechanical), emergency tiller.
Luxurious cherry wood interior, saloon + three cabins (6 berths) + two heads, headroom: approx. 2.00 m. Webasto hot air heating. Electric water pressure system with expansion tank, hot water through water heater (42 litres - running on engine/220V).
Saloon; U-shaped settee with under seat storage, small central seat with backrest and storage under.
Chart table; chart storage, navigator's seat with locker, electric and navigation instrument panel.

Forward cabin; double berth, storage shelves along length of the hull, two under bed drawers, hanging locker, settee on port side, storage shelves with slotted doors on port and starboard sides.
Twin symmetrical aft cabins; double berth, storage shelves along length of hull, hanging locker, seat forward of hanging locker.
Two marine heads; one-piece moulded bathroom for optimum water tightness and maintenance, separate shower with electric shower waste-water pumps, large toilet, wash basin with synthetic resin top, hot and cold water mixer tap, mirrors and cabinet.
Volvo Penta D2-55 - 55 hp diesel engine, mechanical gearbox, intercooling system, wet outlet, stainless steel propeller shaft with GRP protection moulded into hull, three bladed fixed propeller.
Engine mounting integrated into inner moulding.
One manual bilge pump in cockpit, one electric bilge pump.
Electric circuit: 12V, 220V shore power, earth leakage breaker, three batteries of 2008, battery charger, inverter. Voltmeter, amp meter, battery charger indicator.
Two column-mounted compasses (Plastimo), one at each helm station, B&G echo sounder, B&G log, B&G wind set, Simrad VHF (Atis?), Furuno 17 miles radar, Navman Tracker 900 Valsat GPS, Furuno navtex (screen), stereo with CD player and two speakers in saloon + two waterproof cockpit speakers.
Sprayhood, cockpit table, search light, electric windlass, self-draining chain locker, one locker for two gas bottles, bathing platform, boarding ladder, deck shower (cold water), cockpit table.
Keel stepped anodized aluminium mast, two aft swept sets of spreaders, anodized aluminium boom, Facnor headsail furling system, Quantum battened main sail of 2006 (maintenance '08/'09), genoa of 2004, Lazy Jacks, spinnaker pole track on mast with stowage of pole long side the mast, stainless steel standing rigging. Lewmar ST winches: 2x sheet + 2x halyard.
