Mulder 88 sold

De Valk International has successfully completed the sale of the Mulder 88 Seabreeze II. Designed by Guido de Groot and built by the renowned Mulder Shipyard in the Netherlands for a Dutch client in 2001, this superb semi-displacement yacht will soon be heading to all-new waters.

“The new owner is a Russian client of De Valk,” explains Derk Jan Rolff, the broker responsible for the sale. “After spending his inaugural season in the traditional sailing area of the Mediterranean, the new owner will have Seabreeze II adapted to his personal requirements at the Mulder yard. The intention is then to sail east and introduce Seabreeze II to the waters of the Black Sea.”

Regardless of location, the yacht’s sturdy profile and ingenious hull design means the owner is assured of an excellent performance at slower, heavy-weather speeds. Sailors on the Black Sea are likely to be surprised to also see Seabreeze II reach speeds of around the 27 knot-mark. “It is always exciting to see adventurous owners taking their yacht to different places,” says Derk Jan Rolff. “The Mulder 88 will be an impressive addition to the increasingly diverse fleet of yachts in the Black Sea region. And this transaction reinforces the value of De Valk’s extensive contacts among Russian yachtsmen.”
