Sale of Jumbo VI

De Valk listed the Royal yacht Moonen 85 Jumbo VI in 2005 and returned the yacht to home waters from Porto Ercole in Italy. There has been great interest in the yacht because of the previous ownership by the late Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. The yacht has been sold by Derk Jan Rolff of De Valk International to a European purchaser.

During the eight years that Jumbo VI was in the possession of the Dutch Royal family, the boat enjoyed major refits inside and out, including all-new equipment and furniture, a new tender, a re-caulked deck, a complete repaint and much else besides.

In addition to this regal treatment, there are many other reasons why the yacht was such an attractive proposition. Jumbo VI is a comfortable oceangoing yacht in her own right, with a transatlantic (3000 nm) range and a 15,000-litre fuel capacity. The classic lines of her rounded canoe stern are one of the highlights of a timeless design, which also features a sheltered aftdeck, a flybridge with excellent views, and a spacious sundeck.
