New team De Valk Antibes
As part of its ongoing commitment to stimulating growth and development, De Valk International has announced a new team at the helm of its office in France.
Headquartered in the Netherlands and with offices at various sailing hotspots throughout Europe, De Valk International has been chartering and brokering yachts for almost six decades. Today it is one of the most respected brokerage houses with a global client base. And the company is now embarking on an ambitious new strategy to further support owners of quality motor and sailing yachts.
The first branch to benefit from this new approach will be De Valk International in France. The Antibes office will be led by James Greenwood, who has an in-depth knowledge of the yachting world having worked for for Fraser Yachts and Northrop & Johnson. Greenwood has captained and overseen many exciting projects and journeys, including transatlantic crossings, tours of the Caribbean and a trip around South America and the Pacific.
“I am very much looking forward to this challenge and leading a new team of brokerage specialists,” he comments. “The buying and selling of yachts is not a 9 to 5 job! You have to be prepared to pound the docks and work closely with the crew. I am convinced that one should offer a genuinely personal service to owners, crew members, surveyors and support personnel. By being involved in every aspect of the process, we will ensure the quality that has been the hallmark of De Valk’s activities for the past 60 years.”
James is supported by Phil Biggin, who brings a wealth of business operations knowledge and a ‘hands on approach’. “This is an exciting time for De Valk and its international operations,” adds Biggin. “I relish the prospect of being of service to new and existing clients as we head into the 2012 season.”
