Attractive motor yacht, GRAND BANKS ALASKAN 49, built in 1972 (no. 4) by American Marine to a John Bennett design. Mahogany planked hull, teak decks, plywood superstructure. The owner started a comprehensive restauration program which is finished for 90%. This includes: new engines, gearboxes, propellershafts (water lubricated), new 5-bladed propellers, new electrics throughout the ship, central heating with radiators, hot water system, hydraulic steering, fuel tanks. Also many parts of the superstructure have been replaced with new, high quality plywood. She still needs finishings but offers excellent value for money with regard to all the recent upgrades.
