Broker's comments
Sturdy pilothouse sailingyacht with decksaloon and inner steering position. Until recent Motiva have been building comfortable yachts for both the home market as well as full finished yachts. They have earned the appreciation by owners. Interior is home-finished but well done. The outside of the yacht needs a complete overhaul.

Specifications: MOTIVA 42A
General
Steel sailingyacht Motiva 42A "Allegria", hull built in 1981 by Motiva Stahlbade, Denmark, finished in 1994, dim.: 12,65 (lwl 10,55) x 3,50 x 1,90 mtr, steel multichine hull, steel decks and superstructure, decksalon windows in alum. frames, windows in superstructure in perspex, displacement: 12,5 tonnes, ballast: 4,4 tonnes, fueltank: 160 ltrs (steel), freshwatertanks: 2 x 400 ltr (stainless), flexible sumptank: 130 ltrs (no deck pump-out), mechanical wheelsteering in- and outside. The exterior paintwork needs a complete overhaul.
Teak/mahogany interior is simple (owner finished) but well done. She has 2 cabins, a salon and decksalon/pilothouse with panoramic view, 5 (+3) berths, headroom: 1,90-1,96 mtr, 2 x underwater pump toilets, washbasin, Webasto HL32D diesel ducted hot air heating (needs repair)
Aftcabin can also be used as U-shaped sette. The dinette in the salon forward can be altered into a double berth.
Galley: electric waterpressure system, boiler hot water system (220v/engine), Optimus three burner gasstove with oven, Engel 24v frontloading fridge.
Mercedes OM352 130 hp (96kW) diesel engine, installed in 1994, indirect coolingsystem, Hurth gearbox, stainless propellershaft with three bladed propeller, cruisingspeed approx. 7knots, consumption approx. 4 ltr/hr, manual and electric bilgepumps, 24/220v electrical system, 1 x 12v start battery / 24v service batteries, shorepower, 24v batterycharger, small 12v batterycharger, fueltank indicator defect.
Cassen & Plath compass (needs service), VDO Adis electric compass, VDO Logic echosounder and log, VDO Logic windset, Shipmate RS8300 VHF (with Atis).
Radio-cd player, Lofrans electric anchorwinch, CQR anchor and chain, boardingladder, fenders, warps, windscreen wipers (rubbers need to be replaced), spare parts.
Ketch-cutter rigged, Maratime aluminium masts, 5 sails: main / mizzen / stay-sail / fisherman sail / blister, covers for main and mizzen, tackle boomvang, slabreefing for main, 4 x Meissner sheetwinches, 2 x halyardwinches.
