Broker's comments

This boat took part in Operation Dynamo in 1940 and was in Naval service as a patrol boat throughout the rest of the war. It was completely rebuilt in 1990 by ROCC Computers which was overseen by a naval architect at Combes Boatyard - £190,000 was spent.

Dunkirk Little Ship, ''Hilfranor'', Gentleman's Motor Launch - built and designed 1935 by Walton Bridge Motor Launch and Steam Works Ltd, dim: 12.20 x 2.74 x 1.22m, displacement: 6 tons, hull: mahogany on oak, hull colour: white, deck and superstructure: mahogany. Long keel, plumb bow, canoe stern, cable and autohelm steering. 2 x fuel tanks, capacity: 150 litres (33 gallons), 2 x water tanks, capacity: 90 litres (20 gallons) Completely rebuilt in 1990 at a cost of œ190,000

Mahogany interior. Four berths in one cabin plus saloon, heads compartment with Vacuflush WC, handbasin and shower tray, galley with stainless steel sink, 12v microwave, 2 burner gas hob and grill, 12v.240v refrigerator, pressurised hot and cold water with water heated by calorifier/immersion heater.

2 x Perkins 4108, 52hp engines (1990), 350 hours run to January 2002, Aquadrive gear box, fresh and salt water cooling, consumption: 1 gallon/4.5 litres per hour. Maximum speed approximately 9 knots, cruising speed approximately 7 knots. Four bladed contra rotating propeller with rope cutters to shaft drive. Engine room fire extinguishers, 12/240v shore power, domestic and engine batteries (April 2000), Seatrek battery charger

Standard Admiralty issue brass compass (1940), echosounder, log, VHF, Garmin chart plotter, Furuno radar, autopilot.

Pushpit, overall winter cover, handheld searchlight, 1 fire extinguisher in each cabin (new 2001), Clinker tender (on coachroof), CQR anchor, chain/rope, electric/manual windlass, 3 mooring warps, 12 fenders, windscreen wipers, clock and barometer, radio/cassette player.

Steadying sail (tan), wooden mast, sail cover.
