Well Van de Stadt & Partners Design from Dehler Yachtbaur. Lots of room in two seperate cabins. Large cockpit with wheel steering. Excellent performance under sail. Slightly larger than her sister Optima 92, the Optima 98AK provides an extra aftcabin. A solid and safe cruiser for friends and family. Engine has been overhauled in 1993, genoa from 1995, headsailfurling from 1998, navaids like autopilot, gps etc.

GRP sailing yacht Dehler Optima 98AK ''Kon Tiki'', built in 1980 by Dehler Yachtbay GmbH, Germany, dim.: 9.80 (lwl 7.80) x 3.00 x 1.65 m, designed by Van de Stadt & Partners, grp hull, superstructure and deck, round bilged hull, fin keel, balanced spade rudder, perspex windows, displacement: 4 tonnes, ballast: 1,5 tonnes, fueltank: 65 ltrs, freshwatertank: 65 ltrs (plastic), hydraulic wheelsteering.
Classic mahogany interior, 2 cabins and saloon, 5(+2) berths, dinette manual u.w. toilet, Wallas heating, galley: electric waterpressure system, footpump, two burner gasstove, 12v fridge.
Volvo Penta MD11C 23hp (17Kw) diesel engine, installed in 1980, engine has been overhauled in '93, 1790 runninghours, direct coolingsystem, consumption approx. 2,5 ltrs/hr, cruising speed approx. 6 knots, Volvo Penta Saildrive, two bladed folding propeller, 12/220v electrical system, 2 batteries, Calira batterycharger, shorepower.
