Designing a trendsetter, the design team of Judel & Vrolijk took it upon themselves to design a very nice cruiser/racer with this Baltic 43. Still in the first and only ownership, "Bolide" was built to the highest standard and actually over spec. She underwent a total refit/rebuild in 1994/95, spending allmost as much as her askingprice today. Allthough powerfull, "Bolide" can be handled by a small crew (owners couple) or just alone, with the help of her electric / hydraulic winches and bowthruster.

Epoxy composite Baltic 43 "Bolide", built in 1988 by Baltic Yachts Oy, Finland, complete rebuild in 1995, dim.: 13.20 (lwl 10.90) x 4.20 x 2.20 mtr, headway approx.: 20 mtr, design by Judel & Vrolijk, hull in epoxy composite (heat cured), epoxy composite deck and superstructure, new teakdecks in 1995, tinted perspex windows, roundbilged hull, eleptic fin keel, eleptic balanced spade rudder with stainless steel rudderstock (alloy is standard fitting). displacement: 8.9 tonnes, ballast: 3.9 tonnes (lead), fueltank: 170 ltrs (s.s.), freshwatertank: 427 ltrs (s.s.), Solimar mechanical wheelsteering, emergency tiller.

Classic teak interior, large owners cabin with centreline double berth aft and ensuite head/shower, guestcabin with twin bunkberths forward with ensuite head/shower and a large saillocker in the forepeak (twin pipe-cots fitted). In total she can sleep 6 persons without using the dinette. The navigation area is situated in the aftcabin for easier access through the cockpit using an extra compagnionway. This also improves the contact between crew on and below decks. The galley is equipped with an electric waterpressure system ('95), footpumps for salt- & freshwater, boyler hot water system (220v/engine fitted in 1995), three burner gasstove and oven, Iceberg 12v fridge ('95), Iceberg compressor driven (on engine) fridge/freezer ('95). A large u-shaped settee/dinette dominates the saloon amidships (can be converted into double berth). For entertainement a Sony tv and vcr is fitted. Furthermore a Sony radio/cd player with seperate cockpitspeakers. The whole interior has been created and finished in the best possible "Scandinavian" craftsmanship. Together with the blue Alcantara upholstery, creating a very warm and comfortable interior.

Volvo Penta 2003T 43 hp (kW) diesel, installed in 1995, indirect coolingsystem, approx. 900 runninghours after replacement, mechanical gearbox, s.s. propellershaft, Gori three bladed feathering propeller ('01), cruising speed approx. 7 knots, consumption approx. 4 ltr/hr, manual / electric bilgepumps, 12/220v electrical system, 4 x 100amp/1 x 200amp/1 x 100amp batteries, DCC2000 battery monitor, shorepower, Victron 50amp automatic batterycharger, Victron 12/1100 watt 220v invertor, Maxpower 8 hp hydraulic retractable bowthruster.

Suunto magnetic compass mounted on steeringpedestal, full Brookes & Gatehouse Hydra 330 navigation/sailing instruments with several repeaters and 20/20 Maxi displays, Shipmate RS8100 VHF with cockpitconnection, Furuno 1831 radar with Jotron amplifier, Brookes & Gatehouse Hydra 2000 autopilot, Philips MkVI GPS, (Sonatu weatherfax printer + Navtex receiver need to be replaced), Jotron Eprib, Sony radio/cd player, Sony TV + VCR. Most of her instruments have been renwed in 1995.

Reckmann headsailfurler, Harken and Lewmar deck hardware, mainsail fitted with Frederiksen rollerbeared masttrack system and "Lazy Jacks" and mainsailcover, complete Navtec hydraulics on backstay and boomvang, hydraulic and electric winches, 2 x 55EST electric and 2 x 65ST primary sheetwinches, 2 x 43ST secondary winches, 4 x 43ST halyard winches, 1 x 46ST hydraulic halyard winch, 2 x sp-pole with complete spi-equipment. Full sails inventory comprising of; North full batten spectra (2003) / Diamond furling genoa 135% / North genoa I & II light / genoa I medium / genoa II+III+IV / stormjib / storm trysail / 4 x spi (0.5, 0.75, 1.5, 2.2) and an assortement of other more used sails.
