Steel motorsailer De Vries Lentsch MS "Jan van Gent", built in 1977 by J. van der Molen & Zn Shipyard, Zaandam, the Netherlands, dim. 12,80 (loa 13,60 mtr) lwl 11,00 x 4,00 x 1,80 mtrs, headway: 16 mtrs, design by De Vries Lentsch, flange-welded (gejoggeld) steel hull, steel decks with teak, steel superstructure, full bilged hull (S-shape), skeg hung rudder, toughened glass windows in aluminium and bronze frames, double glazing in wheelhouse, displacement; 22 tonnes, ballast appros. 7 tons (lead), fueltank: 1100 ltrs (steel in three seperate tanks), freshwatertank: 1100 ltrs (stainless steel), sumptanks: 1000+400 ltrs (coated steel with electric pump), hydraulic wheelsteering in- and outside, emergency tiller.


Classic teak interior, 2 sleeping cabins for and aft, pilothouse with L-shaped settee, 4 berths, dinette below decks opposite of galley, headroom: 1,95-2,00 mtrs, 2 x u.w.toilet (electric and manual), 1 x shower (aft), central heating system, galley: electric waterpressure system, hot water system, ceramic two burner stove (220v), Whirlpool 220v combi microwave - oven, Coolmatic front loading fridge, water-cooker.
