General
GRP sailing yacht, Westerly Oceanranger 38 "Silver Spur", built in 1995 by Westerly in Hamble - Great Britain, dim.: Loa 11,58 m (Lwl 9,37 m) x 3,86 m x 1,52 m, headway above waterline: 15,85 m (without antenna), design by Ed Dubois. GRP round bilged hull, GRP superstructure and deck, teak deck (needs maintenance), anti-fouling + new anodes Summer 2008, a modest draft cast iron keel, hardened glass windows in aluminium framing. Fuel capacity: approx. 140 litres, fresh water capacity: approx. 2x 120 litres, displacement: approx. 7,212 tonnes, ballast: 2,994 tonnes, wheel steering, emergency tiller.

Classic teak interior, saloon + two cabins + sea berth; total 5 (+2) berths, heating. Cozy saloon with U-shaped settee on port side and straight settee on starboard side. The fore cabin has two single berths with an infill to make a double; the aft cabin provides a domestic size double bed, a small settee; a separate sea berth aft of the navigation station. A large forward facing chart table has its own separate seat, deep stowage for charts, space for extra electronics and stowage for books. Two marine heads with each a wash basin, manual under water toilet and a proper pump out shower. Pressurized hot and cold water at the galley and in the two heads compartments, water heater (runs on engine/220V), water pump recently renewed. U-shaped galley with two stainless steel sinks, cool box with Isostar element, Durabrand microwave, Neptune 2000 two burner gas cooker with oven - safety situated between ample work stops with storage above and below. As well as stowage beneath most of the bunks, the Oceanranger has ample cupboards in the main saloon and the galley, full length hanging lockers in each cabin and separate wet hanging spaces. Philips stereo with CD player.

Volvo MD2030 B - 29 hp diesel engine, fitted in a sound deadened engine box with easy access for maintenance, intercooling system, Volvo gearbox, propeller shaft stainless steel. Two low maintenance batteries provide ample power through a changeover isolator for engine starting and domestic needs. A comprehensive switch panel is protected by circuit breakers and includes battery monitoring gauges. Electric circuit: 12V/220V, shore power. Bilge pump.

Silva 125 compass, Autohelm echo sounder, Autohelm log, Presedent L+D 950 VHF (Atis?), Autohelm ST4000 autopilot.

Fixed windscreen, sprayhood, cockpit cover, winter cover, bathing platform, boaring ladder of stainless steel, manual anchor windlass, CQR anchor. Teak seats and a teak grating in cockpit, large cockpit locker, two wired sea railing of stainless steel, clock and barometer.

Sloop rigged, Kemp aluminium mast, Furlex head sail furling system, Lazy Jacks, main sail in good condition and furling genoa needs to be checked, backstay adjuster. All sail handling is done from the safety of the deep cockpit with self tailing winches located easily to hand.
