Specifications: WARRIOR 40

General
GRP sailing yacht built in 1988 by Trident Marine, designed by Angus Primrose and Bill Dixon, developed from original Warrior 38 with lengthened cabin top and hull, dim.: 12.00 (9.53) x 3.96 x 1.50 m. displacement approx. 8500 kg, flush foredeck, low doghouse, three quarter length encapsulated keel, GRP skeg and semi balanced rudder, light blue GRP hull, dark blue striping, emergency tiller.

Traditional solid teak or teak faced ply. Accommodation for up to 8 in 4 double cabins. 2 heads each with shower (hot/cold), basin, Lavac WC and opening hatch. Aft heads fitted with s.s. holding tank (replaced 2002). Large saloon amidships. The dinette to starboard seats 8 with a folding table. Large galley (to port side) with double sink, gas cooker, microwave, fridge with icemaker (new 2000). Forward owner's cabin with twin/large double berth. Starboard forward cabin with twin berths. Aft starboard cabin with twin berths. Port aft navigator's cabin with double berth and large chart table.

Volvo 2003T 3 cyl. 43 hp diesel engine sail drive (engine and gearbox overhauled in 2001. Fresh water cooling with heat exchanger, 3-bladed propeller (2001), new batteries 2001, fuel capacity: 191 liter in stainless steel tank, water 590 liter in stainless steel tank.

Brookes and Gatehouse electronics with Hydra wind instruments, depth speed including close hauled, fluxgate compass, Brookes and Gatehouse autopilot. (All upgraded to latest specification by B&G agent in 2001).

New 1000 w windlass (2001), sailing gear, folding table, folding sprayhood, removable bimini and shower in cockpit, cockpit table, bilge pumps manual and electric.

Cutter-rigged with roller reef yankee, self tacking staysail. In mast reefing mainsail and cruising genoa + chute, Kemp spars and reefing, Lewmar winches, sails: mainsail, Yankee (new 1998), staysail.
