Broker's comments

The 41 foot J/125 is as close to high performance big-boat sailing one can find in a boat that’s manageable (yes, even with spinnaker) by two or three people. Joy in ownership (and investment) is a function of time spent sailing. Time sailing depends on how easy it is to be off 'on the spur of the moment' inspired by a beautiful day without having to organize 8-10 crew. PHRF/Sportboat of the year 1999.

General
Hull and deck built with TPI's patented SCRIMP vacuum resin infusion molding process. Hull has carbon fiber inner skin, Kevlar/E-glass outer skin and Pro-Set epoxy. Built 1998, delivered 1999. Dim. 12.5 (11.28) x 3.23 x 2.29 m. Displacement: 3,7 t. Ballast: 2.1 t. UpwindSA/DSPL: 43. DSPL/L: 74. Headroom: 1.80 m. 4 berths. Yanmar 28 hp engine.

4 berths. Marine head. Galley includes a two-burner alcohol stove, a small sink, and a plastic ice chest. The interior arrangement features sail lockers or optional adjustable pipe berths forward, followed by a head and hanging locker opposite. The galley is along the port main bulkhead across from a decent-size navigation desk, with room for repeaters above. Navigation desk is molded to fix the Panasonic Portable waterproof PC. The settees in the saloon serve as good sea berths. Most molded surfaces are finished with gelcoat. The headliner is a foam backed liner. Two quarter pipe berths are aft, with terrific access to the Yanmar Saildrive located between them. There are wellplaced stainless steel handrails that run from the main bulkhead aft to the companionway.

Yanmar 28 hp engine. Folding propelller. Wet type engine exhaust system. Racor fuel filter. Aluminium emergency tiller. Fuel capacity: 75 l. Water: 83 l.

B&G navigation instruments (new 2004): wind/inclination/log with doutside 4 20/20 displays + 1 20/20 master control, all talking with PC Sailmath racing program. Raymarine autopilot. GPS.
