Ex lifeboat "NEELTJE JACOBA" is a sturdy, famous ship with a long history. She was built in 1929 by Shipyard Gebr. Niestern in Delfzijl. In 1985 she was totally restaured. The original crew accomodation has been transformed into a comfortable saloon with galley and ensuite master cabin; a guest accomodation has been created and her outside steering position has been covered. "Neeltje Jacoba" is ready to go!

General
Steel Ex lifeboat "Neeltje Jacoba", built in 1929 by Ship Yard Gebr. Niestern in Delfzijl. Round bilged dark blue hull, dimensions approx.: 18.83 x 4.50 x 1.55 m, steel hull, steel and brass superstructures, copper port holes, steel decks. 2 fuel tanks of 2500 litre, 1 fuel tank of 3000 litre. Watertank 3000 litre. Hydraulic steering system, 2nd steering position.
Entrance to teak finished saloon via the closed wheelhouse. Two settees with dark blue upholstery, L-shaped kitchen with teak worktops and four-burner ceramic cooker, electric oven, fridge, coffee maker and dining table. Master cabin with two seperate berths which can be turned into a V-berth. Small ensuite toilet. Seperate guest accomodation with it's own entrance in the front with two bunk beds with dark blue upholstery (sleeps four) which can be folded back into settees, teak folding table and desk, ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. Webasto Central heating system with radiators. Hot water by boiler, waterpressure system.
Twin 8 cylinder 155 hp Kromhout 8 TS 117 diesels from 1955, placed in 1989 (ex hospital generators, each about 200 r/h). Consumption approx. 15 litre per hour at 1000 RPM (7.2 knots). Two four-blade propellers, steel propeller shafts, two spare props. 24 Volt electric grease system. Twin Disc gearbox. Intercooling system. Hydraulic bow thruster. Onan 8kva generator (1989). 3 x 125 Ah start batteries, 4 x 225 Ah service batteries. Victron battery charger. Mechanic bilge pump at the main engine and extra spare bilge pump.
Azimuth 1000 and Simrad RJ37 compasses. Sailor 2048 and Furuno 8500 DSC DSC VHFs. Simrad CA 54 radar, chartplotter, echo sounder. Robertson AP45 autopilot. Inmarsat-C with GPS, computer and 2nd GPS. AIS class B transponder (CTRX), AIS radar (NASA), VHF search unit, Sart, Epirb, Sailor compact 2000 (250 Watt transmitter/receiver USB, LSB).
TV, stereo, search light, liferaft (last inspection 2007), windspeed meter, small tender with 2 hp Yamaha outboard. Hydraulic windlass. Anquor with chain. Steel guard rail. Small settee behind outside steering postion.
