The lines of the Midget 31 have been derived from the classical form of the fishing boats from the north coast of the Danish island Seeland. She is a traditional styled ship on which several people can stay for longer period. She is roomy, comfortable and very much a family cruising yacht. Her interior is very spacious with lots of stowage space. Very sturdy built, delivered with a stronger engine than the standard version.

Algemeen

GRP sailing yacht Midget 31 ''The Blues'', built in 1996 by Jachtwerf Gebr. De Kloet in Kortenhoef - Holland, building number 112. Classified in the category A, according to the European CE directives. Dim.: Loa 9.55m (Lwl 7.80 m) x 3.10 m x 1.35 m, headway: approx. 12.50 m (without antenna) GRP dark blue hull (recently painted by professionals), GRP superstructure and deck, teak deck. Full bilged hull, full bilged keel. Four portholes (to be open), eight tinted safety glass windows in stainless steel framing. Two dorades. Displacement: 5.4 tonnes, ballast: 2.4 tonnes (lead). Fuel tank capacity: 90 litres (stainless steel tank). Fresh water capacity: 200 litres (integrated). Sump tank: approx. 75 litres (stainless steel tank). Tiller steering.

Classic teak interior, saloon and two aft cabins, 4 (+2 in saloon) berths, headroom: approx. 1.93 m. Eberspächer diesel heating. Pressurized water system, hot water through boiler (on engine / 220V). U-shaped settee in front of the yacht with large table in between, stowage space under settee. Chart table on port side. Galley on starboard side with stainless steel sink, cool box with element and a three burner stove with oven. Marine head on port side with wash bowl and manual under water toilet (in waste tank or just outside). Two double aft cabins with storage space. Stereo with CD player and two speakers.

Vetus Mitsubishi M4.14 4 cylinder 33hp (24Kw) diesel engine (stronger engine than the standard version), intercooling system, Hurth HBW 100 mechanical gearbox. Three bladed fixed propeller (bronze), propeller shaft stainless steel. Cruising speed: approx. 7 knots, consumption: approx. 3,5 ltr/hr. Engine hour counter (due to a replacement of the panel in 2002 the engine hour counter shows the hours from 2002 till now). Vetus electric bow thruster. Electric circuit: 12V/220V, shore power. Two batteries of 2007, battery charger. Manual bilge pump.

Silva 100 B/H compass. Autohelm ST50+: compass, echo sounder, log and wind set Autohelm ST50 dGPS. Simrad RD68 VHF with DSC-D and Atis, Autohelm ST2000 autopilot. AIS receiver. Navtex. USB port for laptop. Pioneer stereo with CD player.

Sprayhood (dark blue), cockpit cover (dark blue), spray sails (dark blue), sun awning, cockpit table. Cockpit shower (hot and cold water). Plough anchor of 12 kg, approx. 30m. anchor chain. Push and pull pit of stainless steel, two wired sea railing of stainless steel, boarding ladder of stainless steel. Gas locker.

Sloop-rigged, Brasker aluminium mast, mast lowering system, head sail furling system, standing rig of stainless steel. Sails: battened main sail (21,3m2) with maindrop system, furling genoa (28,2 m2 - bi-radial), jib (18,1 m2). Cover for genoa (dark blue). Spi pole. 4x Self tailing two speed winches. Halyards lead into the cockpit.
