Steel sailingyacht Koopmans 40, built in 1995-1996, commissioned in 1997 by Jachtwerf Delta/V.d. Torre Netherlands, dim.: 12.05 (lwl 9.50) x 3.95 x 1.80 mtr, design by Dick Koopmans Sr., steel roundbilged hull, steel decks, stainless steel superstructure and cockpit, teak finishing in cockpit, hardened glass windows in aluminium framing, full bilged hull, full bilged keel, skeg hung rudder, displacement approx. 12 tonnes, ballast: 5.5 tonnes (lead in steel keel), fueltank: 550 ltrs (steel)+35 ltr daytank with transferpump, freshwatertank: 600 ltrs (s.s.), sumptank: 100 ltrs (s.s. no deck extraction), Solimar Orca mechanical wheelsteering, emergency tiller.
Classic teak interior, 3 cabins and large saloon, double cabin forward and aft, single berth cabin aft, 5 (+1) berths. Saloon with dinette with opposite two chairs, ample headroom 1.95 mtr (length berths 2,00 mtr), Trumatic gas ducted hot air heating and through heatexchanger engine, 1 x uw toilet and washbasin, shower.
Galley; electric waterpressure system with extra salt water footpump, boiler hot watersystem on engine/220v, Rheinstahl two burner gasstove with grill and oven, Trumatic gas solenoid emergency shut-off valve, toploading Danfoss 12v fridge, set of crockery.
Surprisingly spacious and light interior. Extra portholes in hull (with security glass), deckhatches and windows in superstructure give ample light inside.
Perkins M50 50 hp (36kW) diesel, installed in 1997, approx. 3500 runninghours, indirect coolingsystem, Hurth mechanical gearbox, s.s. propellershaft, three bladed fixed propeller, cruisingspeed approx. 6 kn, consumption approx. 3 ltr/hr, 1 x manual / 1 x electric bilgepumps, 12/220v electrical system, 2 x 460amp (2011) / 1 x 70amp startbattery / 1 x 70amp bowthruster battery, shorepower, Mastervolt 25 amp batterycharger, Waeco 800 watt invertor, Bat-watch system for optimum charge indication, Ampair windgenerator, 3 x solarpanels (195watt), Ampair tow-generator, Sleipner bowthruster.
Ritchie pedestal compass, Autohelm Tridata ST50 log/echosounder, Raymarine ST60 windset, Simrad VHF with DSC, Furuno 1623 radar (2011), Autohelm 7000 autopilot (hydraulic drive), Raymarine RN300 with Easy passiv AIS, Furuno NX300 Navtex receiver, Sony radio/cd player with cockpit speakers, active TV/radio antenna, PC interface for navigation, Icom SSB radio M802 with tuner and Pactor modem, ACR Global fix Epirb.
Fixed windscreen with sprayhood, cockpitcover, Bimini, davit, 2 x lifebuoy, 2 x lifeline on deck, Lofrans Tigress electric windlass, Spade anchor with 70mtr chain, Fortress anchor with 50 mtr line, boardingladder, fenders, warps, spare parts, clock, barometer, radar reflector, cockpit cushions, cockpit table, fire extinguishers, DSB 6 persons liferaft (survey till 2012), Sunmarine 260cm inflatable dinghy (2004) with Yamaha 5hp outboard. 2 x Secumar automatic lifejackets. deckshower, windvane self-steering installation. Hull sandblasted and painted in dark blue in 2011.
Sloop-cutter-rigged, Seldén double spreader and diamond spreader aluminium mast with s.s. standing rigging (2012), Profurl genoa furler (2012), 7 sails; full batten main (2012) / 2 x furling yankee (2012) / cutter staysail (1997)/ 2 x stormjib (1997-2009)/ workjib (2012) / MPS spi with squeezer (1997), covers for main (Lazy Bag) and genoa, slabreefing for main, mechanical boomvang and backstayadjuster, 2 x 46CST sheetwinches, 2 x 40CST spi-sheet winches, 2 x 30AST halyard winches, 1 x 30C reef winch, all by Lewmar, spi-pole stowed at mast, extra spi-pole. Her rig is about 1.00 mtr taller than standard. Improving her light wind sailing performance overall. This has been done in conjuction with her designer.
