Built and equipped for long distance cruising, this excellent Caribbean 40 is very suitable. Nice and spacious interior, lots of stowagespace. Easily handled by a small crew, small forward triangle and full batten main with Lazy Jacks. Excellent sailingperformance and seaworthy with her fixed doghouse and ample sized cockpit. Nice dark blue hull with varnished topsides.

Epoxy woodcore sailingyacht V/d Stadt 40 Caribbean ''Kingfisher'', built in 1993/95, dim.: 12.00 (lwl 9.50) x 3.90 x 1.60 m., design by E.G. van de Stadt & Partners, headway: approx. 18 mtrs, hull and deck built from Bruynzeel ply (diagonally formed) covered in epoxy and roving, oregon pine stringers and oak ribs, all covered with epoxy, teak deck, hardened glass windows in alum. framing, roundbilged hull, finkeel, balanced spade rudder, displacement: 9.5 tons, ballast: 3.2 tons headway: 17 mtrs, fueltank: 180 ltrs (s.s.), watertank: 2 x 225 ltrs, sumptank: 60 ltrs, Whitlock wheelsteering (with quick-lock connection for easy stowage), emergency tiller. The hull is built more sturdy than standard.
Classic teak interior, 2 cabins and saloon, 4(+2) berths, dinette, headroom: 1,93 mtrs, electric u.w.toilet, shower, Wallas D3000 ducted air heating, galley, electric waterpressure system with extra faucet, Force 10 three burner gasstove and oven, Isotherm 12v fridge with holdingplate (combined to freezer with 12/220v switch-over), Isotherm 40 ltr hot water boyler (220v and engine), gasdetector.
