This sturdy Dutch steel Carena 36 was completely rebuilt in late 1998 including a full exterior repaint after being sandblasted. Due to her aluminium dockhouse she has a well protected deep cockpit that makes her very suitable for heavy weather ocean sailing.

Steel sailing yacht CARENA 36 KETCH ''Eiber'', built in 1980, dim.: 11.00 x 3.45 x 1.45 m, headway approx. 11.50 m, steel hull built by Van Benthem in Vollenhove and interior finished by Van Workum in Arnhem, designed by H. Lemstra, cork deck on steel with two large opening Goyot deckhatches, steel superstructure with an aluminium half open deckhouse and Gebo security glass windows, blue S-shaped hull, long keel, displacement 9.000 kg, ballast 2.900 kg, fuel capacity 100 ltr. (steel), 4 water tanks with a total of 280 ltr. (steel), wheel steering, teak in the cockpit.

Mahogany interior, 2 cabins, each with a double berth plus 4 in the saloon making a huge amount of 8 berths in total, saloon with a headroom of approx. 2.00 m, manual Blake toilet with a washbasin and ampel storage space, galley with water pressure system, 3-burner Optimus gas stove with oven, single stainless steel sink with footpump, crockery for 4 persons, 2 of the berths in the saloon are placed against the hull above the lockers.

Mercedes Type OM 636 900 000 serie number 47803 diesel engine with 42 hp, 4 cylinder, approx. 1200 engine hours (12/2002) deliverd by Drinkwaard in Juli 1980, closed circuit keel cooling, mechanical gearbox, speed approx. 6 knots, 2-bladed fixed propeller, electric bilge pump, electric circuit 12 Volt, 3 service batteries each 110 Ah. (1999,), 1 gel start battery 88 Ah., shore power with cable without earthbreaker, 12 Volt battery charger, meters for: engine temperature, fueltank, RPM, oilpressure and amperes, acoustic alarm.

Sestrel magnetic pedestal compass, VDO echosounder, VDO sumlog, Sailor RT 2048 BV VHF, K41 navtex receiver (defect) from Vecom Electrics, Autohelm 3000 wheel-driven autopilot, Magelan 3000 GPS, thermometer, hygrometer, solar panels on the dockhouse.

Cockpit cover (not fitting), life jackets, IOR equipment, life lines, 2x fire extinguisher, bathing ladder, sea railing, 4 fenders, several spare parts, charts + books and much more.

Ketch-rigged, black aluminium deck stepped mast with a foot for possible mastlowering, mainsail, furling genoa, jib, mizzen, mizzen staysail (V.d. Sneppen), cover for mainsail, 2x Lewmar winches type 34 2-speed selftailing sheet winches, 2x Lewmar type 16 black mainmast halyard winches, 1x type 8 mizzen halyardwinch, spinnaker boom stowed on deck, 2 Easylock mini mainmast stoppers, 2 additional mooring clamps at the center of the boat, Vetus manual windlass with a seperate rope head, 25 LBS CQR anchor with 30 meters chain and 10 meters rope.
