The Delta 46 (also known as Liberty 458) is a centre cockpit ketch sailing vessel designed by Jörg von Rehden (Germany) in the late 1970’s and Peter Hoyt (USA) in the early 1980’s. The yachts were built at the Shin Fa yard in Taiwan, which also built the renowned Hans Christian yachts.

Delta 46, built in 1990 by Shin-Hsing Yachts in Taiwan, launched 1991, LOA 14.68m (48'2), LWL 12.27m (40'2), beam 4.02m (13'2), draft 2.00m (6'6), GRP hull and superstructure, teak decks, semi-long keel, displacement 16 tons, ballast 5.2 tons, 5 Bowmar aluminium deck hatches, 1,000 litres (220 Imp gallons) water capacity in four stainless steel tanks, 800 litres (176 Imp gallons) fuel capacity in three stainless steel tanks, 100 litres (22 Imp gallons) black water capacity in a polyurethane tank, leather covered steering wheel, emergency tiller.

Solid teak interior, with a lot of attention to detail. Accommodation for four persons in two double cabins, plus one saloon berth. Owner's cabin aft with large double berth, ensuite wc/showerroom. Large workroom to starboard with workbench, acces from aft head. Saloon with settee/ berth on portside and U-shaped settee on starboardside. Lots of storage. Large chart table situated on portside. Double guest cabin forward, showerroom to starboardside, separate wc with wash basin on portside. Galley, with stainless steel double sinks, Waeco Coolmatic fridge, large Waeco Coolmatic coolbox, Taylor 2-burner petroleum stove with oven. All marble tops.
