Beneteau First 38 "l'Ecume des nuits", built in 1983 by Beneteau in France, hull number 167, dim.: 12.25 m (Loa 13.50 m incl. scoop - Lwl 10.32 m) x 3.90 m x 2.10 m, keel resealed in 2002, designed by Jean Berret, GRP hull, superstructure and deck, teak in cockpit, white round bilged hull, fin keel, Hora glass windows in aluminium frames (1998), displacement: 7.1 tonnes, ballast : 3 tonnes, fuel tank: 130 litres s/s (tank indicator shows negative content), fresh water tanks: 2x 200 litres (plastic), mechanical wheel steering, emergency tiller.

Classic teak interior, saloon and three double cabins, 6 (+3) berths, headway: approx. 1.93 m, U-shaped dinette, upholstery + foam by renewed by fa. Rozendaal (1997), separate toilet room with a RM 69 manual toilet (2004), bathroom with wash bowl, RM69 manual toilet (2004) and shower, electric water pressure system, plumbing for water heater is present, galley with double sink, Isotherm fridge (1996) and a three burner stove with oven (1997).
