Specificaties: FLEVOKLIPPER 1270

Algemeen
Steel motorsailer, Flevoklipper 1270 "Walkabout", launched in 1992, hull built by Flevo Jachtbouw in Nijkerk - Holland, interior by Bloemen a/d Maas B.V. in Niftrik - Holland, dim.: Loa 14.00 m x 4.00 m x 1.70 m, headway: 12.50 m (without antenna). Steel hull, superstructure and deck, massive teak deck, hardened glass windows build into solid brass frames, round bilged hull, long keel, displacement: approx. 18 tonnes, ballast: approx. 2 tonnes (lead), fuel tank (steel): 2x 600 litres), fresh water tank (stainless steel): 1.200 litres, grey water ''sump tank" (electric pump). Steering: The rudder is made of steel and is controlled by a hydraulic steering system. There are two hydraulic pumps with steering-wheels each at the inner and outer steering-position (the inner one is from 2005) as well as a Raymarine autopilot. The course computer, the electric hydraulic pump and the control-unit at the inner steering-position have been renewed in 2005 (Raymarine 400G / ST6000 / Simrad RPU300). The Raymarine course computer is equipped with a piezo-gyro as well as with the latest software to guarantee for precision steering and compensation of gybe and yaw.

General: decksaloon wtih settee and steering position, under deck: saloon with dinette and galley, large owners cabin + front cabin, 5 (+2+1) berths, two marine heads and a separate shower room, Kabola central heating with convectors, hot water through Kabola, electrical water pressure system (Shurflo pump with surge-tank). The whole ship is finished in Teak. The walls in the heads and bathroom are from white high-quality resin and the floors are laid with tiling (Ceramic). The upholstery has been renewed in 2004. Fore-peak: double-berth on port-side (approx. 130 cm at the shoulders, ca. 80 cm at the feet) and a single-berth at the starboard side (approx. 90 cm) as well as two lockers, some shelves and a coat rack. Fore-peak: marine head with an electric toilet (Rheinstrom RM69 / inside-out / automatic non-return-valve) and a washstand with a warm and cold water tap. Saloon: U-shaped settee with a large table, where up to 6 people can be seated in comfort. The table can be lowered to have an additional two berths. Two JBL-loudspeakers, a car-stereo with DVD and CD-changer and a LCD-TV give you entertainment. Pantry: refrigerator (approx. 120 litres / compressor 24V), four burner stove powered with propane (up to 2*11 l bottles). An exhaust-hood (real inside/out) with integrated lighting makes cooking comfortable. In the pantry there are enough lockers and shelves to fit all the kitchenware you may need. In the pantry there is a double-bowl-sink with a warm and cold water tap. Deck-saloon: settee for 4 persons to seat in comfort with a great view outside. The table can be removed to access the floor-boards and the engine-compartment lying underneath. There you find the engine, gearbox, heating, batteries, water pump, electric hydraulic steering-pump and the generator. Owner’s cabin: double-berth (140 cm at the shoulders, 120 cm at the feet). The mattress lies on a 'breathing-mat’ that gives proper ventilation. On both sides of the bed there are roomy lockers and shelves. Additional reading-lamps give a cosy light. Owners marine head: a separated room on the way to the owners area in the back of the ship and can be reached easily while sailing. In the same area there is a wardrobe and additional lockers. Electric toilet (Rheinstrom RM69 / inside-out / autom. non-return-valve) and a washstand with tap. Owners bathroom: comfortable size , washing-stand with a warm and cold water tap, locker and a shower with thermostatic control. Heating: There is a 24V Kabola diesel-heating with warm water generator. In 2005 the heating unit has been equipped with a new electric controller, motor and circulation-pump (Webasto 24V). The heat is deployed by seven hidden radiators (one in the fore-peak, guest heads, saloon, deck-saloon, owner’s heads, owner’s cabin and owner’s bathroom). The heating is controlled by an electric control-unit in the deck-saloon (can also be activated remotely by SMS); warm-water is switched on from a control-unit in the pantry if the heating is off. The diesel for engine and heating comes from port- and starboard-tanks that are separated; an inter tank-transfer can be initiated by a valve.

The engine is a DAF575 diesel engine (5.8l / 6-cylinder), which is connected to a hydraulic PRM-gearbox and via a stainless steel drive to a three bladed propeller. It is controlled by Morse control units, each at the inner and outer steering position; lubrication of the prop-shaft is done with a grease-gun that is fixed in a locker near the engine-compartment. The engine has been overhauled in 1992 and has about 2.200 running-hours since then; the propeller shaft and bearing have been renewed in 2003. Rheinstrohm 3 kW electric bow thruster, three fire extinguishers, electric bilge pump, shore power with earth leakage breaker. Instruments for running-hours, water temperature, RPM, oil-pressure (opt./acust.), voltage (separated for the 12V- and the 24V-bus). Four batteries of 235Ah each are connected as two banks with 24V (one for the starter and one for the appliances). The starter-batteries have been renewed in 2005/2008. An automatic charger with 'trace-controlled’ inverter (Intervolt 624E combi) keeps the batteries in a good shape and provides 220V and up to 800W if no shore-power or generator-power is provided. To be independent from shore-power a water-cooled diesel-generator (Farymann 3,3 kW) provides 2.5KVA and is controlled from the inner steering-position. All 12V appliances are powered by two electronic 24V-12V converters. The presence of shore-power is monitored by a GSM-module that also works as an alarm system for the hatchway. If shore-power fails or the hatchway is opened, a SMS-message is generated and sent to one or more addresses.

Instruments at the outer steering-position: Sestrell Moore magnet compass, GPS/navdata, rudder-position, autopilot, electric compass multifunction display for course, depth, speed and wind (all Autohelm ST50). The VHF-radio (Furuno FM-2721 Sea (ATIS/GMDSS, new in 2004) has a second station at the outer steering position. Instruments at the inner steering position: magnet compass (Plastimo), rudder-position, depth, electric compass, wind (all Autohelm ST50), autopilot (Raymarine ST6000), Raymarine radar with chart plotter (C-MAP). The VHF-radio has its main-station here. At the chart-table are additional displays for GPS/navdata (Autohelm ST50) and a shortwave- and weather-receiver (Reanud R150 SSB), as well as a RS-232 (serial) plugs for all nav-data (via a Raymarine PC/Seatalk/NMEA-bridge) and the sat-phone (Inmarsat ATLAS 3040 with Track-Sat-Platform at the mizzen-mast). A HP-notebook for these applications is part of the equipment.

Sprayhood, electric windlass (Lowrance Horizon 1.5kW), 6-pers. Life raft (no maintenance), 25kg Simpson anchor with 50m chain (10mm), stern-anchor with a short chain and heavy line in a stainless steel rack, 6 fenders, boarding ladder (stainless steel), sea railing massive stainless steel.

Ketch - cutter rig, Bamar main-mast with in-mast-reefing, pneumatic rod-kicker and stainless steel stays for genoa and jib (all with Bamar roller-reef) as well as the Bamar mizzen-mast with in-mast-reefing and pneumatic rod-kicker. All stays and standing rigging are from stainless steel. The sail-area is about 88m². There is a main sail, a gennaker, a spinnaker and a mizzen-staysail a genoa and a kutter sail. A Bamar spi-pole is fitted to the main-mast. Two Enkes sheet-winches (2-gear), an Anderson reef-winch and Lewmar cleats and blocks make the rest of the equipment.
