Retro Classic Sailing Yacht "Joss" , designed by Hoek for an experienced yacht owner, who is still the first owner. "Joss" was built between 1989 and 1992, launched in July.
The owner is an experienced yachtsman and, due to this experience and his professional background, the finishing of the yacht and the woodwork is exceptional.
The yacht is very well maintained by Dutch Yacht Service. A yacht with a classic appearance but a modern underwater structure (wing-keel).
Dimensions 21.00 x 5.20 x 2.65m. Steel hull, aluminium superstructure and teak decks. Displacement 40 tons. Capacity fuel tank 1,000 litres, capacity water tanks 1,500 litres. Blackwater tank 200 litres, greywater tank 200 litres. Hydraulic steering.
Behind the anchor locker in the forepeak there is a storage room, with workbench and tool cabinet and storage for the staysail, two spies (one with tube), the sailcovers and the large awning (as well as the many items that apparently always accumulate in a yacht).
In the cabin section, behind a watertight door, you find a two berth cabin on portside and starboard. All cabins have their own wash basin and as many lockers as possible. There is an extra cabin for one person on starboard.
The master cabin, with its own comfortable shower and hanging lockers, is located behind the second watertight door on starboard. The day toilet and guest bathroom is also located here.
The saloon can best be judged from the drawings and the pictures. The spacious galley is comfortable at sea and is equipped with a large 4-burner stove and oven. Heating stove with aluminium radiators.
The ceiling height is 1.94 metres.
From the pictures you will notice the navigation quarters with the radar, weatherfax, Navtex, B&G meters, VHF, SSB and GPS, the piano (Kembell) and the large bookshelves. A cupboard hides the international TV set, the video recorder and the radio/CD player/tape player stereo equipment. The navigation table will hold full admiralty size charts.
