Semi displacement motoryacht Pilot 50 "Pura Vida", built in 1999 by VDL Shipyards, Netherlands, dim.: loa.: 16.00 m. length hull:: 15.49 (lwl. 14.16) x 4.82 x 1.50 mtrs, headway: 3,10 mtr (with lowered mast), design by Willem Nieland, CE Class A category, steel hull, deck and superstructure, 15mm teakdecks. Semi displacement hard-chine transom stern construction with integrated bath platform and raked bow. Built in SM grade 8 till 5 mm sandblasted steel with framing each 40 cm. 4 watertight sections by 3 bulkheads, of which 2 have watertight doors. Two steel balance rudders. Hard rubber docking/bumper strips. Stainless steel railing and bow anchor holder. Windows: Gebo non tinted, double hard glass windows in aluminium. Displacment: approx. 31 tonnes, fueltanks total 6000 ltrs, freshwatertanks total 1000 ltrs, sumptanks: 560 ltrs, hydraulic wheelsteering in pilothouse and on aft deck, emergency tiller.

Classic teak, handcrafted satin varnished interior. Two sleeping cabins, saloon and decksaloon / wheelhouse. Sleeps 4, plus 2 in salon/wheelhouse. Headroom ca. 2.10 mtr in saloon and 1.90 mtr below deck. Large head/washbasin and shower area for ownerscabin forward. Guestcabin aft with double berth and ensuite electric head/washbasin and shower. Saloon/dining: Comfortable and elegant set up with large 6 persons U-shape sofa and one seat (all blue Alcantara) and saloon/dining table. Built in bar, cupboards and bookshelves etc. Wheelhouse has a L-shaped settee with panoramic view. Twin Disc hydraulic gearboxes, stainless propeller shafts with 4 blade Nikkel Aluminium propellers make Teignbridge and rope cutters. Micro Commander control systems in wheelhouse and on aft deck. Maximum speed approx. 15 knots @ 2200 rpm continuous, cruising speed approx. 10 knots @ 1700 rpm. Economic speed :ca.6.8 knots, one engine.
