This performance cruiser from the well-known Westerly-range is now for sale by her first and only owner. Recently the main items have been renewed: furling system is renewed in 2002, genoa and mainsail are from 2002, the electricity has been refitted.

General
GRP sailing yacht WESTERLY TYPHOON 37 "La Malu", built in 1991, dimensions: 11,38 x 3,75 x 1,83 m, mast height above waterline 16,92 m, built by Westerly Yachts Ltd. in England, built under the Lloyds Hull Construction Certificate, designed by Ed Dubois, white hull with blue and red striping, anti-slip deck, teak in cockpit, displacement approx. 7,470 kg, ballast approx. 2,750 kg, iron keel connected with stainless steel bolts, stainless steel fuel tank, capacity approx. 135 liter, 3 stainless steel water tanks with total capacity of approx. 345 liter, wheel steering with leather covered, emergency tiller.

Teak interior, 2 cabins, 6 berths (7 possible), berths with leecloth, saloon with table, shower with separate drain and marine toilet and porthole to the cockpit, hatches with roller blinds, the front toiletroom is changed into a wardrobe, headway 1,90 m, hot water boiler (2001) via engine and 220 Volt, water pressure system, refrigerator, 2-burner gas stove with oven, double stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, marmer look tops.

Perkins Piranha diesel engine, 35 hp, building year 1991, intercooling system, engine hours approx. 2000 (per February 2002), consumption approx. 2,5 ltr./h., diesel/water filter, speed approx. 6,6 knots, 2-bladed propeller with rope cutter, solar cells panels in cockpit, 2 electric bilge pumps, 1 manual bilge pump, 3 batteries, shorepower, batterycharger, 12/220 Volt system,

Fractional sloop-rigged, 2-spreader silver anodised mast, all halyards controlled from cockpit, Profurl LC 32 furling system (2002) for genoa, full-battened mainsail (29m2) by Doyle (2000), 3 reefs for mainsail, genoa (38,8m2) by Doyle (2000), stormjib, rodkicker, spinnakerboom stowed on mast, backstay with tackle, Lewmar 2-speed self tailing winches, 2x sheetwinches and 2x halyard winches, mainsailcover, lazyjacksystem for mainsail.
