General - VAN DE STADT ORION 33

Van de Stadt Orion 33 "Madam", built in 1979 (launched in 1981) by Mulder & Rijke B.V. - Holland, design by E.G. van de Stadt & Partners b.v., dim.: 10.00 m (Lwl 8.30 m) x 3.30 m x 1.88 m, blue round bilged hull, GRP hull, superstructure and deck, teak deck, hull two component coated in 1997 (De IJssel), under water ship Sikkens Osmose prevention system (2005) and Self Polishing 3000.
Displacement: approx. 5.4 tonnes, ballast: approx. 2.6 tonnes (lead), fuel capacity: approx. 100 litres (stainless steel), two flexible fresh water tanks (one needs to be replaced) - total 150 litres, balanced spade rudder, tiller steering.

Accommodation

Classic oregon pine interior, saloon + front cabin + pilot berth, total 3 (+4 berths), headroom cabin: approx. 1.95 m. Galley with sink, refrigerator and a two burner gas stove (thermal saved), gas locker, Wallas heating (overhauled in 2005) with paraffin tank (approx. 5 litres), marine head with wash bowl and Sealock under water toilet (2006).

Machinery

Volvo Penta MD11C 2 cylinder 23 hp diesel engine, overhauled in 2006, saildrive, Volvo Penta mechanical gearbox, direct cooling system, two bladed fixed propeller, electric circuit: 12V/220V, batteries: 2x 105 amp., shore power (2005), inverter, fire extinguisher, manual bilge pump.

Navigation

2x Contest compass; VHF with Atis, log, stereo with cd player.

Equipment

Sprayhood (2005), teak in cockpit, CQR anchor + line, pull and push pit stainless steel, two wired stainless steel sea railing, hour counter, boarding ladder stainless steel.
