The Oyster 53, built in 2002 by Windboats Marine in Norfolk England, designed by Rob Humpreys, LOA 16.40m (54'), beam 4.66m (15'), draft 2.20 m (7' ), GRP hull is laid up single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyds approved design specification, teak decks refitted in 2010, high performance bulb keel, displacement 22,5 tons ( 49,052lb ) 913 liters fuel capacity in PVC tank, 874 liter water capacity in PVC tank under saloon floorboards, 47 liter PVC black water tank, Whitlock wheelsteering.

Accommodation

Seven berths in four cabins, classic warm cherry wood interior, the styling is designed to be modern and coordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea, essential features are: sculpted fiddles and grabrails, shadow-gap joints between joinery panels, solid, shaped cherry and stainless steel grab handles and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers, saloon upholstery in stitched paneled Alcantara covered with fashion throws Alcantara upholstery to forward and aft cabin seating and headboards reading lights to all berths, Lee cloths to all sea berths, fly screens to all opening hull ports and coach roof portlights Oceanair “sky screens” on all deck hatches. Charcoal filter on cold water supply with faucet at galley sink, aft cabin with double berth, a curved settee, dressing table and a large hanging locker, with abundant drawer and locker space. En suite heads with PAR Quiet Flush toilet, wash basin and separate shower stall.

Yanmar 4JH3-HTBE, 4 cylinder 100 hp diesel engine, Aquadrive couplings, engine hours aprox. 3050 hours, Racor fuel filters x 2, fitted with changeover valves allowing either filter to be used.
