The Kometa is a passenger hydrofoil that was designed in the former USSR. Experts say the Kometa, which means comet in Russian, is one of the most successful passenger hydrofoils in the world and in operation in many countries. At present a new model, a Kometa-120 m passenger hydrofoil ship, is being developed in Russia that will cost more than $6 million.
